GeoVerra Geomatics Project Manager in Langley or Victoria, British Columbia

Our passionate and collaborative BC team is seeking a Project Manager to support projects in our Langley or Victoria location. The primary purpose of this role is for client service while maintaining and improving the work environment within the GeoVerra Team.

This position has a significant impact on our external clients and internal team members, and therefore needs to be connected and live out the Company’s Vision, Mission and Values through actions and results.

 

What you will do:

  • Lead project teams to deliver quality work on time and on budget. 

  • Monitor project and team performance. Forecast project outcomes and adjust where necessary to deliver successful project outcomes.  

  • Manage client expectations, scope creep and scope changes through active communication. 

  • Engage in diverse leadership responsibilities encompassing tasks including but not limited to being involved in the recruitment process (as required), onboarding, offboarding, performance management, scheduling, overseeing attendance, and administering time off, engaging Field Crew Coordinators (FCC) as needed.

  • Motivate and inspire crew members, encouraging high performance and a commitment to excellence.

  • Optimize resource utilization to ensure the successful delivery of multiple projects concurrently.

  • Identify and resolve client, project and/or team issues. 

  • Communicate with clients and internal team members to ensure timely flow of information, actions, deliverables, timelines and budgets. 

  • Ensure Quality, safety, legislation and industry standards are met or exceeded. 

  • Facilitate an environment of high performance. Mentor and support the development of self and the project team members. 

    What you will bring:

  • Diploma or Degree in Geomatics Engineering Technology, B.Sc. in Geomatics. 

  • Registered as a British Columbia Land Surveyor (BCLS) preferred but not required.

  • 3+ years of previous project management experience with demonstrated success in managing: Client Expectations, Scope, Budget / Forecast, Schedule, and Quality  sales with new and existing clients. 

  • 1+ years of previous leadership experience preferred.

  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Ability to work without supervision.

  • Effective time management and strong organizational skills while working to project deadlines. 

  • Willingness and ability to travel to sites.

  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as per the limits provided in the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace.

    Salary Range: $75,000 to $100,000/annually
