Sr Operations Manager - Warehouse

Assists in leading all aspects of warehouse in a manufacturing plant. Oversees, manages and directly drives continuous improvement for utilizing, however not limited to: Warehouse management systems (WMS) functionality, business analytics, network resources, offering and/or implementing solutions that align with business directed goals. Supports the organization’s supply chain strategy. Plans, directs, and monitors all activities in the warehouse.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible to lead a safe plant culture.

  • Responsible for warehouse and systems for the plant.

  • Responsible for plant warehouse goals.

  • Responsible to manage specific cost controls for plant.

  • Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policy and guidelines.

  • Work with department managers to ensure coordination of purchasing, production, quality and shipping.

  • Select and train plant supervisory and administrative staff.

  • Foster a well-trained and motivated staff through excellent leadership and communication skills.

  • Conduct employee performance reviews.

  • Schedule and conduct plant meetings.

  • Ensure maintenance of clean and safe plant.

  • Communicate with all levels of personnel through strong interpersonal skills.

  • Attend corporate trainings and meetings.

  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.

  • 6 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment

  • 6 Years – Experience in Position

  • 4 Years – Experience managing people/projects

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, or customers

  • High sense of urgency
