Maxim Healthcare Services RN - Adult Homecare in Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Hours Needed: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday

Salary: $35 - $40 / per hour

Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing and documenting skilled nursing care in accordance with the care plan developed for each individual patient and within the physician’s orders. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for providing services, as directed by contract and/or program, while under the supervision of a contract/program clinical designee. The RN provides service in accordance with Maxim’s philosophy, standards and policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Assesses and evaluates patient nursing needs regularly

· Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required

· Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals

· Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor

· Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention

· Assures patient/client safety at all times

· Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the care/services environment and equipment used, including universal precautions

· Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

· Adheres to Maxim policy, procedure and applicable protocols

· Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Minimum Requirements

· Graduate of an accredited school of nursing preferred

· Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in specific state required

· Complies with accepted professional standards and practice

· One year prior professional nursing experience preferred

· Successful completion of Maxim Orientation and Compliance training

· Successful completion of Maxim’s Competency Program.

· Proficiency in the English language required.

· Must meet all federal, state, local and contract requirements.

· Current PPD or Chest X-Ray. (offered by us if needed)

· Current BLS card. (CPR classes available)

· Finger prints (offered if needed)

· Child abuse (offered if needed)

Estimated start date is within 1 week after Orientation completion
