Position: Engineering Intern Summer 2025

Location: Lancaster, PA

Major: Engineering Junior or Senior is preferred

Academic Schedule: May -- August 2025 full-time, 40 hours per week, 12-15 week internship

During your internship you will conduct various engineering projects in one or more of the areas of Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering and Research & Development. Interns will also have exposure to and learn various aspects of Engineering practices in these areas during the course of a twelve to fifteen week experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in manual switch bonnet design: Collaborate with engineers to support the design and development of manual switch bonnets, ensuring product performance and reliability.
  • Switch testing and analysis: Conduct testing of switches to verify functionality and durability.
  • Product design team collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary team on new product design, providing support and contributing to discussions on innovation, feasibility, and design improvements.
  • Develop testing procedure for new product: Write comprehensive testing procedure for new product prototypes, ensuring all tests are structured to gather relevant data for product validation.
  • Supervise testing and document results: Oversee product testing in accordance with established procedures, ensuring accuracy in data collection and documenting results for further review by engineering team. Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate in the areas of mechanical, industrial, general, or nuclear engineering junior or senior preferred
