EDSI Behavioral Health Advocate in Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Salary $52,000-55,000 year

Scope of Position: The Behavioral Health Advocate (BHA) is responsible for the assessment and intervention of program participants who have identified behavioral health concerns as being a barrier to reaching their full potential. As a BHA, you will assist in providing brief therapeutic interventions and referring to long-term external supportive services when applicable.

Essential Functions:

  • Assess and build therapeutic relationships with participants to assist with client-centered interventions aimed at reducing barriers
  • Provide holistic individualized supportive services to assist in client's professional and personal developmental needs and opportunities
  • Provide individual coaching, psychoeducation, and facilitating groups when applicable
  • Identify beneficial community resources for participants and coordinate external referrals when appropriate
  • Uphold confidentiality standards with all client interactions, in accordance with your advanced degree and/or licensing board
  • Maintain organized, confidential, and well documented participant case notes in accordance with program standards, and with ethical consideration for your licensure board
  • Other opportunities as available

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Master's degree required in Social Work, Counseling, Counseling Education or related field, with 2-3 years of clinical experience
  • Firm grasp of ethical expectations and the ability to maintain ethical standards without onsite supervision
  • Experience with counseling individuals and families
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and great documentation skills
  • Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer service experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license and automobile required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
