Ryerson Press Brake Operator - 1st Shift | Lancaster in Lancaster, New York

Position Description: Ryerson has an opportunity for a Press Break Operator position. As a Press Break Operator you are responsible for setting up and maintaining the machine. A successful candidate will be safety focused with an emphasis on quality, a dedication to performing work accurately, and a keen attention to detail are a must. The future will be made from metal. Responsibilities and duties include: * Assemble material for shipment or machines in accordance with specifications and instructions on orders * Operate press brake machine to process metal * Select material from specific heats or for physical condition in accordance with instructions on orders * Unload and receive material, weighs, counts, check sizes. Identify by color and heat or test numbers Place into stock racks or designated areas * Record necessary information on receiving tickets or other documents * Maintain safety, quality and productivity standards of each job assignment * All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without noticePosition Requirements: * HS diploma or GED preferred * Forklift, Overhead Crane, and good computer skills are a plus * Experience using a Press Brake machine preferred * Experience working in a metals warehouse setting preferred * Must be able to accurately use measuring tools, specifically a tape measure, micrometer, and caliper * Position requires Ramsay Assessment insert this: Successfully pass the Ramsay Corporation Combined Basic Skills Assessment which evaluates your reading, math, inspection & measurement, and process monitoring & problem-solving skills Salary: $21.44 hourly.
