Aerotek Field Service Technician in Lancaster, New York

Description:

The Entry Level Hydraulic Field Service Technician, under the supervision of a Field Service Technician, performs installation, repair and troubleshooting of moderate to complex hydraulic equipment and systems at the customer’s worksite. Extensive travel is required. Travel assignments frequently include overnight and possibly extended periods away. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines from Field Service Technician to perform the functions of the job. Reports to the Repair/Service Manager.

-Travel will be day travel to places like; Ohio, PA, Syracuse, Albany, Rochester (Mostly day travel)

-Occasional week travel periods/overnight trips

-Must be comfortable with physical aspect of the job: climbing, kneeling, reaching, pushing and pulling.

-Must be comfortable lifting 50+ pounds

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• A valid driver’s license is required, and an acceptable motor vehicle report (MVR). The MVR will be obtained at the company’s expense.

• Basic knowledge of hydraulic components helpful.

• Basic AC/DC circuitry knowledge.

• Able to travel as needed overnight, possibly for extended periods of time.

• Strong computer skills. Capable of working with Microsoft Office and a variety of applications.

• Strong time management and organization skills. Must be able to work independently and successfully complete multiple assignments in a deadline driven

environment.

• Strong communication skills. Must be capable of using written and verbal communications to effectively convey plans and specific details to internal and

external customers.

• Ability to work in difficult physical and stressful situations for extended periods of time.
