Nature Park Cashier Job Overview: Dogwood Canyon located in Lampe, MO is currently seeking a CASHIER to join the team! This individual will provide excellent customer service for our guests, assist with reservations, provide information and coordinate available activities for guests, and accept, document and reconcile all daily revenue through our POS system. Essential Functions:

  • Greet, interact with, and assist Park guests
  • Assist with incoming phone calls, receive messages and/or transfer calls to appropriate person.
  • Assist and coordinate guests in making reservations for outdoor adventure activities, explain activity requirements (weight and age requirements, etc.), provide historical information on Dogwood Canyon and describe specific activities.
  • Accurately, and efficiently, handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment via POS system.
  • Responsible for opening and closing registers daily, balancing daily receipts, running daily reports, and preparing daily deposits.
  • Must adhere to all company/department safety standards and policies.
  • Must be open to working mandatory/approved overtime.
  • Must be open to working weekends/weekdays/nights when necessary/critical to support the business.
  • Must be able to cover shifts at affiliate Conservation Attraction properties.
  • Must have an approved driving record and operate a company vehicle if required/applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education:

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Ability to perform as a strong team player.
  • Requires walking/standing approximately 75% of the time, sitting 10% of the tine, forward bending and crouching 15% of the time, lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Any combination of experience, education, skills, certification(s) etc. will be taken into consideration
  • Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to sunlight, various animals, weather, loud sounds, low lighting, close quarters, high/low temperatures, etc.
