GRACELAND UNIVERSITY Athletic Trainers in Lamoni, Iowa

Graceland University is seeking a full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer on the Lamoni, Iowa campus. Founded in 1895 and sponsored by Community of Christ, Graceland is a community of passionate, caring, and dedicated individuals who make up a worldwide community network that reaches far beyond its two campuses.

Lamoni is a city in Decatur County, Iowa. The population is about 2,052. Located an hour south of Des Moines; and about 2 hours north of Kansas City on I-35.

This is a 11-month position reporting directly to the Head Athletic Trainer. Graceland University currently serves about 630 student-athletes across 22 varsity sports.

Responsibilities include:

  • providing athletic training services in the Athletics Department
  • using the Vivature software for injury tracking
  • possible supervision of work study students
  • other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or Head Athletic Trainer

Qualifications include:

  • Masters degree (preferred) in related field
  • NATABOC certified athletic trainer (ATC), in good standing
  • minimum of one year experience
  • Iowa Athletic Trainers license (or eligible)

Additional Compensation includes:

  • NATA dues
  • State Licensure dues
  • Athletic Training Personal Liability Fees
  • Some additional funds for CEUs

Nights and weekends are required as well as some travel.

Graceland University competes in the NAIAs highly competitive Heart of America Athletic Conference in a wide variety of sports, so the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with athletes of all types.
