The Spirit of the Position: The Auditor, Operational Audit role provides an unbiased evaluation of processes, systems and operations and determines whether internal controls are in place and operating effectively to mitigate risks and ensure that organizational goals and objectives are met. This technical role reports to the Director, Operational Audit, and will be responsible for supporting LAZ's Operational Audit function in Cleveland. Principal Job Duties: Perform independent audits of LAZ locations using advanced analytical skills to detect potential fraud and revenue leakage. Protect LAZ and our Clients from Fraud/Theft by making independent decisions and recommendations on matters of significance as it relates to each location. Provide an unbiased assessment of employee and location performance as observed during audits including collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operating information and trends. Ensure that all operations are in accordance with LAZ standard operating procedures & internal control procedures. Work collaboratively with local Senior Regional Management to evaluate operational consistency with LAZ policies and procedures. Identifies and recommends various courses of action for areas of risk to the company, implements appropriate changes and follows through on continuous improvements, where necessary. Actively participate in all Operational Audit Department conferences (1 per year) and Annual Goals and Objectives as planned by the Manager of Operational Audit. Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience: Operational Audit / Internal Audit experience preferred. Previous Parking Industry experience strongly preferred. Skills: Understanding and experience of auditing principles and practices. Must be self-motivated and task oriented. Must be a strong team player but also act with integrity and objectivity. Excellent written, analytical, and communication skills required. Proficient in Microsoft Office Professional. Travel Requirements: Hybrid position - mix of remote work and conducting audits on site at LAZ Parking locations in the local/regional market. Local Travel - Must have a dependable vehicle and current driver license. Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push and pull at least 10 pounds. Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc. Ability to lift, push and pull at least 10 pounds. Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
