Genesis Corp Construction Manager II in Lakewood, Ohio

Genesis10 is seeking a Construction Manager II for an on-site 12-month contract position with a leading client in Cleveland, OH. This role pays $40-45 /hour W2 based on experience. Job Duties: Oversee construction activities on the job site. Ensure and verify that the general contractor builds and installs per approved design. Report construction progress to client appointed project manager daily, weekly or as defined. Document (pictures & report) of major construction milestones on the job site. Ensure and enforce safety and environmental compliance on the jobsite Participate in daily job brief with the general contractor. Develop project documentation and perform reviews for clarity and completeness - examples include programming and scoping documents, performance specifications, project plans, contracts, equipment and constructions bid packages, requisitions, bills of material or material requests for issue, task authorizations, and engineering work requests. Engage and coordinate all project stakeholders including consultants, contractors and internal resources. E.g., architects, engineers, general contractors, and internal IT and security resources. This also includes monitoring and/or reporting contractor resource levels. Take responsibility for the quality assurance and control of assigned projects, including identification of quality requirements, responsibility for agreed upon quality assurance program and if required, oversee the review and approval process for contractor provided procedures; Prepare and present project status reports for management. Reports entail recurring, standard reports and ad hoc reports that address status of scope, budget and schedule that identify risks and issues, and outlines mitigation strategies; Ensure project close-out and lessons-learned reviews are completed. Participate in audit of completed projects to evaluate whether identified objectives and benefits have been realized; Perform other job responsibilities as assigned. Be able to Interpret and explain design or engineering documents/information. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists. Coordinate activities of general contractor and the subcontractors. Monitor projects and report progress and budget matters to client project management. Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other problems with the project. Ensure that the project complies with legal requirements, such building and safety codes. Coordinate construction processes so that projects meet design specifications and are completed on time within budget. Be able to work closely architects, civil engineers, and trades workers, including stonemasons, electricians, and carpenters etc. Job Requirements: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical). PMP certification is not required but is a plus. Must have a minimum of 4 years' experience in project organization with a background in engineering, finance, construction or project controls; Strong project management skills are required with a demonstrated ability to develop, manage and control multiple tasks; Experience in architecture, mechanical, electrical, or structural design of commercial and industrial facilities is required. Must have experience reading, interpreting and understanding facilities architectural and engineering drawings.
