Configuration Management Specialist Configuration Management Specialist III NASA Glenn Research Center Cleveland, Ohio HX5 is an award-winning provider of engineering, research and development, and technical services to clients such as NASA and the Department of Defense. Founded in 2004, HX5 is a fast-growing veteran and woman-owned company with locations nationwide. HX5 is currently seeking a Configuration Management (CM) Specialist to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio in support of the GEARS contract at NASA Glenn Research Center. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The selected candidate will provide CM support to the Solar Electric Propulsion (SEP) and Next Generation (NextGen) projects at NASA Glenn Research center. This support will include: Maintain effective controls and tracking of applicable/latest revision or version for project data and system components, project specifications, system software, design data and drawings, and engineering and project documentation. Coordinate publication and collaboration of documentation and changes. Organize data to facilitate ease of access and retrieval for project team members and management decision-making process. Support various project reviews (Requirements Readiness, Preliminary Design, Critical Design, Flight Readiness, etc.) using agreed to repositories for relevant data for access availability for all review members. Ensure that all project documents are version-controlled maintained, tracked and archived within the agreed to systems. SharePoint should be the primary repository for documentation. Create project repositories and libraries for all project configuration items. Provide data retention and storage for projects. Coordinate engineering and project meetings, manufacturing meetings, and change control boards. Attend team meetings. Maintain archive of minutes for engineering review boards and project control board meetings, including action items. Required Skills: MS Office products, database knowledge & excellent organizational skills. Knowledge of SharePoint is a plus. Ability to collaborate with engineers, program/project managers and team members to aid in data management and configuration control. Ability to take direction and desire to learn preferred CM principles and processes. Desired Skills: Should have strong organizational and people skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or High School (HS) diploma or equivalent and 10 years of experience. Other Position Requirements: Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position. Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
