Maintenance Mechanic

Job Information:

  • Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM

  • Paying $30 - $35 per hour (depending on level of experience)

  • Fortune 500 company, excellent benefit package

Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:

  • GMP, liquid foods manufacturing environment (USDA and FDA regulated facility)

  • Completes assigned work orders on food production machinery and facility equipment. Industrial blenders, mixers, kettles, ovens and convection roasters, etc.

  • Makes mechanical adjustments as needed

  • Lubricates machinery

  • Diagnoses and corrects mechanical and basic electrical problems

  • Fabricates basic parts if needed, orders parts

  • Repairs and/or overhauls in-plant equipment

  • Performs preventive and predictive maintenance tasks

  • Works with contractors and vendors as needed

  • Requests parts to be ordered

  • Follows GMP’s and SOP’s

  • Liquid food production equipment: large pressure cookers, mixers, kettles, pumps, motors, hydraulic and pneumatics, etc.

    Maintenance Mechanic Requirements:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED, preferred post-high school training or vocational/technical trade schooling

  • Prior experience maintaining, fixing, repairing, troubleshooting various type of manufacturing equipment experience is preferred.

  • Hands on experience with new equipment installation

  • Experience with boilers, chillers, and air compressor a plus.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a GMP manufacturing environment
