Note: Thisposition is under the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local No. 455. Applicant will be required to join IUOE Local.

Position Summary

This position delivers aggregate and asphalt materials in either a tandem or tractor using the following trailer types: live bottom, belly dump, and end dump.

Responsibilities

Ensures a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task. Hauls asphalt and/or equipment to and from job sites Exercises good judgment regarding work site access, unloading, and operation to and from the work site. Maintains safe and mechanical operation of truck and trailer. Performs routine inspections and maintenance on equipment, and reports defects and repairs to the maintenance department. Conducts daily pre-trip inspection of truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, and oil. Operates other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as required. Ability to operate Distributor or Water truck. Perform proof-rolls filling various paving rollers with water. When duties do not require you to drive you will assist the crew in the completion of the project.

Knowledge,Skills and Abilities

Must be safety-oriented and exhibit safe work habits. Self-motivated and eager to learn new skills. Perform well in a "TEAM" environment. Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency. Willing to work hours that are associated with the construction industry, including overtime and weekends as needed. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Valid CDL Class A driver's license. Tanker and hazmat endorsements are preferred. Pass apre-employment physical and drug screen.

Minimum Education and Experience

1 year of CDL Class A driving experience preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements & Conditions

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift 75 pounds. Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Compensation

We are excited to share the base hourly rate for this position is$25.90+.Membership with theInternational Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local No. 455is required upon hire. Condition and terms of employment and benefits are in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
