Harrison Western Construction Civil Geotechnical Driller in Lakewood, Colorado

We are seeking an experienced Civil/Geotechnical Driller for projects throughout the nation. The Civil/Geotechnical Driller operates one or several types of power construction equipment to accomplish construction tasks. The Driller may repair and maintain equipment in addition to other duties. They perform geotechnical techniques including soil nail, Shotcrete, Beam and Lagging, Tieback Anchors, Micropiles and/or specialty grouting installation correctly to ensure the job is performed correctly, safely and on time. Qualified candidates will have experience with truck and track mounted drill rigs, anchor drilling rigs, anchors, tiebacks, piles, and grouting systems, etc.

Responsibilities: Operates, maneuvers, or navigates mechanized equipment including hydraulic foundation and geotechnical drilling rigs Maintains daily drill logs and equipment inspection forms Keeps the drill area safe Rigging, hoisting, and spotting for equipment movement according to written, verbal and/or signaled instructions Performs necessary pre-operation activities including inspection to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment Inspects and maintains equipment to manufacturers specifications, troubleshoots mechanical issues Ensures regulated and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn Follows all health and safety policy and regulations including company policies, OSHA etc. Loads and moves dirt, rocks, equipment, or other materials with various pieces of equipment Operates equipment to demolish or remove debris Takes actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, or other workers Coordinates machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members Locates underground services, such as pipes or wires, prior to beginning work When not operating equipment, works with and assists crew in completing assigned task, including, but not limited to, general labor

Qualifications:

3 or more years of construction experience required 2 or more years of Geotechnical/Civil drilling experience required Experience with different drilling techniques including hollow-bar, open hole, auger, down-hole-hammer, and duplex Ability to read blueprints and/or layout drawings Ability to travel extensively to different jobsites in the United States
