Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories Automation Specialist/Technician in Lakewood, Colorado

As an Automation Specialist/Technician in Engineering Services, you’ll provide solutions and services that help our customers protect and control critical electrical infrastructure and power systems worldwide.

As an Automation Specialist/Technician, a typical day might include the following:

  • RTAC programming and checkouts

  • Quality assurance and quality control checks

  • Commissioning (25%+ of the time)

  • Leading and supporting automation specific projects

    This job might be for you if:

  • You are autonomous and self sufficient

  • You communicate openly and willingly

  • You are flexible and open to broadness

  • You have a depth of knowledge in power systems Automaton

  • You have or are willing to dive into SEL’s RTAC

  • You have 5+ years of power systems Automation experience

  • You are willing to travel 25% of the time

  • You are familiar with communication management (interface and physical transports of communication), IO management, and PLC programming.

Lakewood, CO-This position is located in Lakewood, CO. Tucked against the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, and located just seven miles away from Denver, making Lakewood a perfect place to live and work. This position provides medical, dental, vision, paid leave, and a monthly education allowance. ​
