ITW Facilities Maintenance in Lakeville, Minnesota

This Union environment has an employee base comprised of 30 and 40-year veterans (and newer hires) attesting to its dedication to employees. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

DUTIES: Must understand the importance of safety. Performs custodial duties. Performs routine maintenance tasks; i.e., simple equipment and system repairs with minimal written or verbal instructions. Perform production work as required.

TOOLS: Must be able to use basic hand tools and portable power tools, power sweeper/scrubber, manlift, and forklift.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTs:

  1. Good communication skills: reading and writing are required.

  2. Must be physically suited to perform all assigned tasks within this classification.

  3. Must be able to read and understand repair manuals and basic wiring diagrams.

  4. Must be able to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs.

  5. Must be able to secure and maintain a forklift license.

  6. Must be able to identify and requisition replacement parts requirements.

  7. Must have combined six months relevant experience in basic mechanical or electrical skills.

· Facilities maintenance knowledge desired

· Prior experience in maintenance of manufacturing environment is preferred
