Job Title: Direct Support Professional. Job Summary: The Direct Support Professional assists individuals with enhancing daily living skills, supports individuals in accomplishing program outcomes, and facilitates community involvement. Schedule: 2nd shift available. 2nd: 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm (M-F) Duties Include: - Must be able to follow safety practices, protocols, and directives per each individual s plan and company policies to maintain the individuals health and safety. - Provide assistance with daily living skills and community involvement to assist in furthering the individuals level of independence. - Transport individuals to activities. - Assist in hygiene and personal care including toileting. - Complete general housekeeping (dishes, laundry, snow removal, lawn care, etc.) - Implement and document individuals program outcomes. - Apply positive behavior techniques. - Successfully pass all required training. - Push, pull, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. - Must be able to quickly respond to and react to - incidents and emergencies. - Basic computer skills (i.e.: email, timesheets, etc) - Adhere to the rules of conduct and employment expectations as set forth in the employee handbook.
