Tibbels Marina and Charter Service is currently hiring for a Customer Service Representative for the upcoming season.

Marina bait and tackle store selling -- bait, tackle, boating supplies, gas/diesel at dock, seasonal/transient dockage, boat ramp 5 motel units, fishing charter boats, beer/wine/seltzer Carry Out, and much more!

 

 Role Description:

This is Seasonal Full-time on-site role for our Bait & Tackle Shop "Customer Service Rep.

 20-30 hours per week

$15-20/hour

 

This person must be:

Reliable and professional with an excellent work ethic

Excellent verbal communication skills, Answer the phone professionally

Excellent sales and customer service skills

Be a resource to customers not from the area by finding out what we can do to help them with whatever they may need.

Greets, Interacts & Consults with customers, to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise

Demonstrates and explains merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customer's needs

Assist customers with local area and industry questions both in the store and by phone

 

Qualifications:

Handle cash transactions

Must be 18 years old

 High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Previous retail, sales, cashier, or customer service skill preferred

Basic computer skills required

Verify age via ID check for anyone purchasing beer, wine, seltzers

Stock inventory properly with newest inventory in back, Ability to lift 25-50 pounds, for exchange of propane tanks, rotate/stock beer cases

Touch and sort worms, fish, minnows, and dispose of as needed. Sorting live and dead baits, Maintaining and cleaning of bait tanks

General knowledge of fishing is helpful. Relevant experience with fishing, Bait & Tackle, Relevant experience with spooling and rigging and/or a willingness and ability to learn

An interest and appreciation for the products we sell and the customers we serve. We don't need to hire an expert angler for this role, but having an interest and experience with Walleye, Perch, Bass (Lake Erie) fishing and anglers is strongly preferred.

Stay up to date with services and products offered here at the shop, as well as become versed in fishing knowledge and techniques to help customers

Performs other duties as assigned
