Description:

The purpose of this position is to provide operational and financial consulting related to company-controlled assets including leadership, analytical support, financial planning, accounting, auditing, operational performance, software utilization, capital investments, process improvement support and business advisory services to the Real Estate Asset Management and the Corporate Real Estate Accounting business areas. This position also helps support the rest of the team (two Senior Business Analysts and two Invoice Analysts) and participates in developing a pipeline of talent for succession planning within the sub-department.

Responsibilities include:

  • serving as a financial as well as operational subject matter expert (SME) and point of contact to the Real Estate Asset Management and Corporate Real Estate Accounting business areas, providing comprehensive consulting, auditing and analytical business support

  • providing financial, operational and statistical reporting and analysis to the Real Estate Asset Management, Corporate Accounting, Facilities, Internal Audit and Business Analysis and Reporting (BAR) business areas as well as Publix Senior Leadership

  • developing and supporting corporate financial and strategic planning, forecasting and reporting structures

  • mentoring and development of Real Estate, Corporate Real Estate Accounting and Business Analysis & Reporting business areas and other associates as needed

Year End Bonus:

As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or another analytical discipline or equivalent

  • 5 years of relevant business experience in Real Estate Accounting

  • Knowledge of accounting, budgeting and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), as well as business practices specific to Publix

  • Knowledge of major Publix technology systems and the inter-relationship of those systems
