Job Responsibilities

  • Leads small teams of egress personnel to meet maintenance and production goals.

  • Performs comprehensive maintenance to egress systems across multiple aircraft and seat types.

  • Maintains Explosives inventory of CAD/PAD items.

  • Documents time change actions in the system of record.

  • Calculates time change due dates based upon technical order requirements. Forecasts requirements and notifies management of shortfalls.

  • Assists with logistical planning of maintenance actions and ordering of scheduled replacement parts.

  • Maintains Survival Equipment to include parachutes and survival kit contents.

  • Maintains aircrew oxygen system components, troubleshoots malfunctions.

  • Maintains egress related ground support equipment.

  • Provides on-site training for egress technicians.

  • Maintains currency of required training.

  • Ensures safe work procedures.

  • Ensures all work is completed IAW applicable technical data and current practices and procedures.

  • Complies with inspection standards set by DOD contracting agency requirements

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years Egress work experience O and I level required; D level experience is preferred.

  • Shop / section / shift management experience required. Prioritizes workload and allocates resources and manpower.

  • Oxygen maintenance experience and A&P License preferred.

  • Experience managing shop programs to include CTK, time change, explosive safety, HAZCOM and support equipment.

  • Parachute and survival equipment experience is preferred.

  • FAA Parachute Rigger preferred.

  • CAD/PAD handling experience required, DOD training.

  • Must be able to travel.

  • Must be able to obtain Secret Clearance.

  • Occasional/intermittent lifting and carrying objects/equipment weighing up to 25 pound
