Bayonet Plumbing HVAC Service Area Manager in Lakeland, Florida

Bayonet Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning, a division of IES is looking for a successful and driven professional to take on the role of HVAC Service Area Manager for our Lakeland branch.

The Area Manager will plan and oversee the daily operations of the Lakeland Area to ensure Bayonet goals and objectives are achieved.

 

  • Recruit, interview and hire Service Technicians.

  • Perform training of new employees in Bayonet/IES policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Coordinate continuing education opportunities to further develop the skills of staff.

  • Communicate with the dispatch team to organize and coordinate scheduling jobs that will be assigned daily.

  • Conduct disciplinary reprimands and terminations of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

  • Be physically present at your designated service shop to ensure technicians’ ability to restock service vehicles and be on time for their first calls. This includes inspecting uniforms and vehicles for cleanliness.

  • Organize and oversee the schedules and work of assigned staff.

  • Conduct annual performance evaluations that are both timely and constructive to develop a culture of continual growth and opportunity.

  • Measure productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.

  • Monitor and review technician’s activity within Service Titan for completeness and accuracy.

  • Monitor and review error tracking & training spreadsheets daily.

  • Develop training based on tracked errors to reduce errors and increase understanding of company policy/procedure.

  • Conduct regular individual technician meetings for discussions surrounding specific instances (positive or negative) repeated behaviors & broken policies, goal setting, etc.

  • Follow up with technicians to ensure changes are applied and goals are met.

  • Answer inter-company Emails daily and in a timely manner.

  • Address escalated customer and builder partner concerns.

  • Always dressed in proper company attire. This includes pants and a collared shirt. You may be required to make on-site visits on short notice.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be able to rationalize and speak coherently to any customer complaint to resolve the matter to its fullest completion.

  • Excellent managerial and supervisory skills and ability to be a mentor to your team.

  • Excellent written ,verbal, and organizational skills.

  • Extensive knowledge of HVAC residential service.

  • Experience with Service Titan is preferred.

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.  Adobe and Service Titan are highly suggested.
