Insight Global Plant Maintenance Technician in Lake Worth, Florida

Job Description

The Plant Maintenance Technician is responsible for the safe, timely maintenance and repair of ready-mix concrete production equipment within an assigned area. Some basic job skills include welding, electrical repair, pluming repair, hydraulics, and preventative maintenance for a wide array of mechanical systems. Housekeeping and facility maintenance is also required.

Job Responsibilities

* Ability to safely and quickly diagnose and detect the root cause of equipment failure related to hydraulic systems, air systems, electrical, plumbing, and conveyors

* Familiarity with standard and specialty tools for plant maintenance and the ability to use them safely

* Perform routine maintenance such as greasing, cleaning, and replacing components both on a scheduled or emergency setting. Good housekeeping is a must

* Perform daily equipment inspections, document their conditions, and write corrective work orders when needed

* Assist other technicians during complicated repairs

* Write, disseminate, and maintain the necessary maintenance records

* The ability to operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, wheel loaders or the ability to learn these skills. CDL and medium-heavy truck driving experience is a plus

* Communicate with and assist outside service vendors when completing maintenance tasks on site

* Coordinate and oversee the work of other maintenance and plant personnel

* Adhere to all OSHA, and MSHA safety standards/policies/regulations and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds (PPE)

* Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management

Skills and Requirements

* Welding and metal working skills required

* Must have or be able to obtain Electrical, Plumbing and Hydraulic repair knowledge. Willingness to learn these skills is mandatory

* Must have their own basic tools * Ability to carry out not only simple, but complex oral and written instructions and deal with problems from standardized situations and work experience

* Good mathematical skills, including basic math including fractions, conversions, and common units of measurement in both metric and imperial system

* Ability to read and understand English sufficiently to be able to read technical information contained in manuals, reports, and schematics

* Ability to communicate well with supervisors, mechanics, leadmen, welders, maintenance personnel, and outside contractors null
