Job Description

Responsible for the risk management department's operations and ensures goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time-frame and funding parameters. Work includes but not limited to, operations oversight of captive insurance companies, data analysis, management of a Risk Management Information System, and management of key projects.

Job Responsibility

  • Plans, manages, and coordinates projects and ensures project initiatives and timelines are met. Oversees the maintenance of the Risk Management Information System; maintains the database, and works with the vendor to update features and capabilities, as needed.

  • Provides internal reports per request.

  • Liaises with other users, as necessary; manages coordination of the malpractice payments for the organization malpractice program.

  • Contributes in risk management including, but not limited to identifying, assessing and weighing risk, working with related corporate departments (legal, finance, facilities, procurement, FPP etc.), reviewing contracts, and designing insurance provisions.

  • Participates in operational oversight of Captive (In-House).

  • Insurers including maintenance of documents, planning and organizing board meetings, reviewing meeting materials, reviewing and recording operating expenses, maintaining files, liaise with captive managers and other services providers.

  • Contributes to development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures; ensures compliance with all internal and external standards and guidelines.

  • Performs special projects for the department; partners with management to define project goals, objectives, target initiatives, timelines and budget.

  • Participates in design of project plan; establishes work plan and participants for each project phase and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project staff.

  • Communicates with project participants to outline work plan and assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority.

  • Manages activities of project participants to ensure project progress on schedule and within budget; supports department activities by handling administrative tasks including but not limited to reports, budgets, documentation, and contractual agreements.

  • Operates under general guidance and work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on course of action.

Job Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.

  • Advanced use of PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI, strongly preferred.

  • Data analytics experience, preferred.

The salary range for this position is $70,470-$116,870/year
