Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct, safe, appropriate, and effective nursing care to designated patients in accordance with patient needs, current standards of nursing practice, and organizational policies within the scope of LPN Licensure.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and collects information concerning the health status of patients

  • Evaluates patient’s responses to interventions and to the revision of the plan of care as needed

  • Ensures the implementation of patient care orders in a timely manner

  • Demonstrates quality improvement, facilitating the generation of ideas for improvement of patient care and functioning of the clinic

  • Completing basic LPN competencies in addition to departmental specific competencies

  • Follows organizational policies and procedures

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program

  • Unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of New York

  • Current BLS certification

  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Outlook and internet)

Preferred Qualification:

  • 1+ years of related healthcare experience

New York Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $19.47 to $38.08 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
