Full Time Sous Chef Opening The View is currently seeking applicants for a fulltime Sous Chef. The pay rate is up to $25 depending on experience.

The View seeks an effective communicator who is self motivated and can manage a positive, driven and focused environment while maintaining control and leading others. We are looking for someone who provides exceptional customer service with a constant focus on not only maintaining, but exceeding AAAs Four-Diamond Exceptional requirements.

An ideal candidate is a career-oriented individual with existing fine dining experience, a positive presence and a focus on quality at every level. The candidate will possess and demonstrate an ability to work with, lead, motivate and engage in a manner that raises the interactions and outcomes for all parties. The successful candidate demonstrates an ability to treat people with dignity and respect while holding them accountable for their work and responsibility. This position will require working various hours and shifts including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business.

Major Job Activities Contribute to a positive and energetic work team. Maintain a calm, safe, productive and efficient work environment. Treat people with dignity and respect while holding them accountable for their work and responsibility. Proactively manage and guide service while maintaining the Views AAA Four Diamond quality criteria. Responsible for the effective oversight of the kitchen while on duty. Supervise the staff in the preparation and plating of a la carte and banquet orders.
Monitor daily labor costs, adjusting as required by business demands. Provide coaching and direction to employees when needed. Complete required reports, paperwork and safety logs as required. Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization. Secondary Activities. Offer Input on the development of new menu items and nightly features. Assist in scheduling staff. Assist in maintaining food cost. Assist in ordering foods and supplies. Become familiar with all stations and cover when needed. Other duties as assigned. Communication & Literacy. Speak clearly and write legibly. Ability to communicate calmly with staff in a fast-paced environment. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook required Physical Requirements. Must be able to walk, carry and lift 50lbs or more.
