Mary's Woods Nurse Shift Supervisor (LPN/RN) in Lake Oswego, Oregon

Mary's Woods is looking for an positive, attentive, compassionate and collaborative Shift Supervisor to join our team. The Shift Supervisor at Mary's Woods is a licensed nurse with demonstrated leadership experience in elder care. This pivotal role within our Health Services leadership team ensures the highest level of quality and safety for our residents. The Shift Supervisor collaborates with all departments to optimize service and care delivery.

Mary's Woods is a non-profit senior living community founded in 2001, offering independent living, assisted living, memory care, and residential care in a park-like setting on 40 acres in Lake Oswego. Below are some of the core responsibilities, experience and skills needed to be successful:

  • Act as the main point of contact for all clinical, administrative, and communication needs during designated shifts

  • Supervise, coach, and oversee all direct care employees within health services for the designated shift, providing feedback on individual performance

  • Update care plans, document assessments, and communicate clinical care changes to employees

  • Communicate safety, quality, and resident care issues promptly to Health Services leadership

  • Participate in committees and meetings as requested

  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, quality objectives, and standards of Health Service areas

  • Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and visitors to address concerns and needs

  • Relay physician's orders regarding medical information to enable informed decision-making by residents

  • Provide written shift reports including resident, family, team member, and general shift information

  • Report and document resident status and significant changes in the EMR system

  • Adhere to Mary’s Woods' mission, policies, and values including Compassion, Respect, Excellence, Stewardship, and Justice

    Qualifications:

  • Holds an unencumbered LPN or RN license in the state of Oregon; RN license preferred

  • A degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing

  • Minimum of one year experience as a practicing nurse preferred; other relevant experience considered

  • Minimum of one year management experience preferred

  • Current CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

    Pay: This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Compensation is dependent on experience, certification, and education.

    Shifts Available:

  • One Evening shift position (2:30 pm - 11:00 pm) 

  • One Night shift position (10:30 pm - 7:00 am)

  • Holidays and weekends required
