Mary's Woods Medication Tech or Certified Medication Aide - Full Time & Part Time Available in Lake Oswego, Oregon

Mary's Woods, a premier senior living community located in Lake Oswego, has an openings for a Medication Tech or Certified Medication Aide.

As a Medication Tech/Certified Medication Aide in our community, you will facilitate the day to day coordination of resident orders including electronic recording and assisting the Charge Nurse. You must promote positive communication with residents, visitors, family and all staff.

Below are some of the core responsibilities, experience and skills needed to be successful:

  • Process new or changed physician orders by entering order into resident's electronic file and communicating the change with the charge nurse

  • Fax medication orders to appropriate pharmacy

  • Make follow up medical appointments for residents and assures transportation set up

  • Assist as a caregiver as needs arise

  • Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative relationships with residents, families, vendors and staff

Education and Experience:

  • Prefer current and unencumbered Medication Assistant Certification with the Oregon State Board of Nursing, or equivalent experience as a medication aide or related field such as pharmacy within 90 days of hire

  • Required to obtain your Current First Aid Card, CPR Card and Food Handler's card within 30 days of employment.

Full Time equals 30-40 hours per week

Part Time equals 24 - 28 hours per week

The starting range of pay is $16.50 - $17.00, depending on experience and education
