FFP Finance Intern in Lake Mary, Florida

JOB SUMMARY:

The Finance Intern will assist the Finance department in various financial and accounting tasks, providing support to the team and gaining valuable hands-on experience in the field of finance. This internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals pursuing a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field to apply their classroom knowledge in a professional setting.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, statements, and analyses

  • Support accounts payable and receivable processes

  • Participate in budget planning and monitoring activities

  • Conduct financial research and data gathering

  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records

  • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and documentation

  • Contribute to special projects and ad-hoc analyses as assigned

  • Attend meetings and participate in discussions to gain exposure

SKILLS, TRAITS, AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher (or equivalent)

  • Prior relevant internship or work experience is a plus (not required)

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial modeling

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work on a part-time or full-time basis during the internship period

  • Commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to occasionally lift 25 lbs

  • Able to sit and work at a computer for prolonged periods

  • Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization’s physical premises
