Robert Half Staff Accountant in Lake Elmo, Minnesota

Description

Robert Half is currently looking for a Staff Accountant for a large corporation in Lake Elmo. The staff accountant is responsible for applying generally accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly, quarterly and annual accounts

  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures

  • Provide assistance and training to accounting staff

  • Make certain all financial reporting deadlines are met

  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes

  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities

  • Assist in financial audits and coordination of the audit process

Requirements

  • At least 3+ years of Accounting experience

  • BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred

  • Experience with Dynamics GP

  • Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

  • High attention to detail and possess excellent organizational and writing skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required

  • Strong familiarity with journal entries

  • Expense reports, fixed assets, & general ledger experience
