Louisiana Bridge Builders Environmental Compliance Manager in Lake Charles, Louisiana

The Environmental Compliance Manager is committed to supporting Louisiana Bridge Builders by being responsible for permitting compliance, implementation of all environmental design and construction commitments, and overall environmental compliance for the project.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Oversees all environmental aspects of the project design.
  2. Works closely with Construction Team to identify permitting requirements for critical path activities and ensure Construction Team are aware of potential timing restrictions.
  3. Works closely with Technical Service Department to ensure all environmental issues are addressed and project schedules are met.
  4. Involved in public consultation process as required.
  5. Coordinates environmental sub-contractors to provide specialty input and direction on behalf of Water and Environmental Programs (WEP).
  6. Analyzes and identifies leading and lagging trends to assist in environmental protection and compliance.
  7. Direct the projects environmental program. Inform project leadership team of environmental issues and (solutions) involving the building of the project.
  8. Coordinates the instruction of operating personnel concerning the organizations environment objectives.
  9. Manages the environmental activities, monitor, document, and report environmental compliance for the project.
  10. Report any violation of failure to comply with requirements to the client.
  11. Identifies and implements corrective and preventative actions to ensure compliance.
  12. Compiles quarterly and annual reports to update ongoing environmental processes and address current issues.
  13. Provide recommendations for implementation of corrective / preventative actions and suggest program improvements.
  14. Participate in Corporate Audits.
  15. Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
