About the Role & Team

The Walt Disney World Bookable Experiences Revenue Management team leverages data analytics to optimize revenue, develop yield strategies, and evaluate key business / performance drivers. Bookable Experiences encompasses all Walt Disney World bookable products including table service restaurants, dining events, activities, and merchandise experiences.

As a Lead Data Analyst you will be a key player in our data analytics and yielding efforts. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze and visualize data, transforming it into actionable insights and recommendations. If you’re a self-starter with outstanding analytical skills who can use highly sophisticated data sets to deliver concise analytics and build influential presentations this role is the perfect opportunity make an impact at the Walt Disney Company.

The Lead Data Analyst for Bookable Experiences Revenue Management currently reports to the Senior Manager, Bookable Experiences Revenue Management.

What You Will Do

  • Generate regular reporting and ad-hoc analysis of historical and current data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within Bookable Experiences

  • Translate complex analyses into actionable insights for presentation to Operations, key partners, and executive leadership

  • Serve as primary liaison through project work to deliver enhanced and updated data streams for upgraded reservation systems

  • Lead the data and reporting needs for the business during the development of a new best-in-class F&B revenue management system

  • Develop and maintain SQL queries and scripts for data analysis and reporting

  • Create and maintain data visualization dashboards using Tableau or similar tools to deliver insights and enable internal efficiencies

  • Collaborate within Revenue Management and across the organization (Food & Beverage Operations, Pricing, Finance, Forecasting, Industrial Engineering, Decision Science, and Technology & Digital, Commercial and Customer Experience Intelligence (CCXI)) to understand data needs and provide actionable insights to drive business decisions

  • Continuously monitor data quality and proactively address data-related issues

  • Contribute to the development and optimization of data processes and workflows

  • Develop and maintain positive service-oriented relationships with partners and Operations

  • Provide optimal utilization assumptions and yielding practices, develop macro and micro strategies, and manage seating templates for table service locations

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data handling and manipulation in a programming language such as SQL, Python, SAS, Java, or other

  • Strong problem-solving and quantitative skills

  • Advanced knowledge of data visualization/business intelligence software, such as Tableau or Power BI

  • Experience collecting and analyzing data and reporting on the results using Excel or a statistical software package

  • Knowledge and understanding of technical integration and overall solution architecture

  • Proven ability to extract and assimilate data from several sources and communicate analysis in a concise, easy-to- understand and actionable format

  • Strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality results and understanding the business impact

  • Relationship and communication skills to effectively build partnerships, including the ability to ask questions to gain understanding and influence others with differing points of view

  • Strong ability to learn new tools, forecast trends, and enable actionable plans that can be monitored and reported on

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of data analysis experience

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or related quantitative field

  • Deep understanding of tools such as Jira, Confluence, Slack, Miro, Product, Board, among others

  • Knowledge of Snowflake

  • Revenue Management and/or Pricing or Forecasting Experience

  • Knowledge of Food & Beverage Operations or data

Education

Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics/Science, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Insights or related quantitative field
