FirstService Residential Pool Attendant in Lake Barrington, Illinois

PoolAttendant (Lake Barrington Shores) – Seasonal / Part-Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for enforcing pool rules and ensuring the safety of residents/guests in the pool area.

  • Capable of enforcing all pool rules and regulations in a polite and professional manner.
  • Clean up the general pool area by returning chairs and equipment back to proper locations.
  • Return pool lanes to their original configuration.
  • Check resident ID cards and manage guest passes.

OPERATING SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

Education/Training:

Minimum of High School diploma. CPR Certification is desirable.

Experience/Knowledge/Abilities :

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience and training in customer service is highly desirable.
  • Experience in an aquatic setting desirable.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills, problem solving abilities, and advanced communication skills a plus.
  • Must present a professional image. Must be outgoing and able to work with all types of people. Must be energetic.
  • Accountable for one’s own work.

Compensation:

$15 / hour

Special Requirements:

  • Capable of working extended hours, to include weekends and holidays as necessary.
  • Able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscure writing or printing, with corrective lenses if needed.
  • Must be able to speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that various types of communications may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities.
  • Position may involve sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying and moving objects that can weigh up to 45 lbs. This movement can occur throughout the day. Must be able to transport oneself not only around the office, but also around the Association and Lake Barrington Shores facilities.
  • Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented, and with good reasoning skills.
