Position Available: Assistant Manager

Tailchasers Barrington Pet Resort is in search of a dependable and adaptable Assistant Manager who can also step in as a kennel technician or receptionist when necessary.

As an Assistant Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth functions of the facility, maintaining high standards of care for our furry guests, and delivering exceptional service to their owners. You will work closely with the existing management team to oversee daily duties, supervise staff members, and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Answering company phones

  • Office management duties

  • Supervising staff: including interviewing, training, and coaching

  • Providing excellent customer service

  • Processing payments

  • Resolving client grievances

  • Managing facility supplies

  • Performing kennel duties such as maintaining lodge cleanliness, feeding, medication administration, and overseeing playgroups

Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen or legally authorized to work in the US

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently

  • Demonstrated leadership skills in previous roles

  • Strong multitasking abilities

  • Proficient in computer functions

  • Comfortable with extended periods of sitting, standing, stooping, and kneeling

  • Successful completion of a background check

  • Comfortable working with various animals, including cats, dogs, and some birds

  • Able to commit to this position for at least 6 months from the date of hire

  • Great communication skills with a friendly demeanor

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted

  • Availability to work weekends (at least 1 weekend day each week, ongoing)

Compensation:

  • Negotiable based on experience
