*PRIMARY PURPOSE  * Take orders, serve food and drinks, answer inquiries about menu and attend to the needs of the guest to optimize their dining experience

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Answer questions about food and drinks including daily specials, ingredients, preparation and accompanying items.
  • Attend daily pre shift meetings.
  • Greet newly seated guests in a friendly manner within 30 seconds of being seated.
  • Take drink order at guest greeting, deliver beverages & offer appetizers. 
  • Take entire order and repeat order to guests for clarification.
  • Up-sell menu items, such as appetizers, entrees, beverages and desserts.
  • Ring up orders on POS. quickly and in proper sequence using appropriate abbreviations and charges.
  • Follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing & handling intoxication of guests.
  • Maintain table appearance by pre-bussing, checking drink levels, removing clutter and providing extra napkins if necessary.
  • Total bill and present check upon removal of last plate or upon request.
  • Accept payment and provide change or credit card voucher within 1-3 minutes of guests' payment. 
  • Follow appropriate accounting procedures for closing checks and vouchers.
  • Keep station clean, sets up and take down station appropriately adhering to company sanitation procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
