Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • As a key member of the SAP Core team, provide support to the business community for SAP in the PP/QM Functional Support area. This includes all new projects as well as production support across all functions within SAP.

  • Provide estimates for the configuration and unit testing activities of a project when needed.

  • Design and configure solutions in the production planning/quality management space of multiple SAP environments.

  • Support of production planning interfaces along with assistance from technical team-members for numerous legacy and third-party systems using a variety of techniques such as LSMW, BAPI, IDOC, RFC calls, BDC, and call transaction update methods.

  • Assist with program performance optimization from the functional end with assistance from technical team-members on tuning where necessary.

  • Research and apply OSS notes.

  • Write detailed user documentation (functional specifications) of customized program functions.

  • Cross-team communication and teamwork.

  • Supervise and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that inhibit the focus objectives of project goals and implementing corrective actions.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Participate in off-hours meetings.

Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of work experience.

  • 3 to 6 years SAP PP/QM experience in SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4 HANA.

  • Experience in several of the following multi-functional modules: PP/QM, MM/WM, SD.

  • Demonstrable ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high stress environment with changing priorities.

  • Strong analytical skills required, including a detailed understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to communicate optimally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and domain authorities.

  • Self-managing and self-motivating; able to meet customer achievements and expectations.

Additional Skills

  • Relevant technical certificates a plus.

  • Completed at least 1 full cycle implementation.

  • Knowledge of NetWeaver 7.0 experience is helpful.

  • Knowledge of PP/DS is beneficial.

  • Knowledge of BI is beneficial.

  • Utilization of Solution Manager-Charm for transport management.

  • Utilization of ITSM system such as Service-Now, SolarWinds, etc.
