Recreation / VR Attendant - Mosaic (Seasonal)

SUMMARY

The Recreation & VR Attendant is responsible for guiding guests through the underwater virtual reality experience known as DIVR & DIVR+. The VR attendant position also ensures guest safety, provides an exceptional experience for guests, and maintains equipment to brand standard.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Partaking in all daily pool recreational activities and promote guest participation

  • Setup/Takedown of experience equipment

  • Responsible for safety and security of all guests participating in pool recreational programs and activities.

  • Greeting all guests with a warm welcome and a fond farewell; ensuring that all guest information/release forms are accurately filled out

  • Responsible for collecting payment (room number or other method of payment).

  • Ensuring equipment is kept clean, organized and always stocked.

  • Ensuring the equipment is always functional, communicating maintenance needs to management.

  • Inspecting entire pool area replacing any missing items and/or repairing (when possible) any items needing attention. (ex. umbrellas, chairs, menu holders, flags)

  • Communicating with the resort staff and resort guests all the present and upcoming programs, offerings, and family activities through Mosaic Pool.

  • Assist members and guests with all equipment rental needs.

  • Complete opening and closing procedures for the Recreation Department.

  • Complete daily departmental procedures.

  • Relay accurate information to members and guests.

  • Effectively and efficiently handle members and guests complaints.

  • Assist with special events, holiday activities, and year-round activities for members and guests.

  • Properly handle any activity reservations for members and guests.

  • Work with the Guest Service Department to assure accurate transfer of information.

  • Work with necessary departments to ensure the proper marketing and promotion of the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be dependable and available to work within the resort on weekends, and/or holidays based on business demands.

  • Enjoy interacting with people in a fast-paced environment.

  • High School or equivalent is required.

  • A minimum of 2 years' working experience with children preferred.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Must have the ability to provide the highest level of customer service in the industry.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; team oriented.

  • Must be detail oriented and organized with ability to multi-task.

  • Must possess a positive attitude.

  • Must be willing to participate in a learning environment.

  • Familiar with Open Table Reservation System.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 1 year hospitality and recreation experience preferred.

  • Strong guest service background. Ability to provide a high level of service, programming, and instruction for our guests and members.

  • Valid Driver’s License.

  • Previous recreation or customer service experience.

  • Able to work a flexible schedule including weekend, evenings, and holidays.

  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Capable of multi-tasking.

  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

  • CPR, First Aid, AED certified.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Most tasks are performed outdoors in variable weather conditions, including hot, cold, windy and wet weather. Temperature can be extreme but is usually moderate. Must be comfortable to be in and around water for an extended period of time. Frequently works near moving/mechanical parts. While performing the job duties, the employee must be able to reach with arms and hands; bend and stoop; remain at post standing for extended periods of time; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

The pay scale for this position is $19.00.

The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position. Please let us know if you have any questions.
