Parkview North Hospital Facilities Technician II in Lagrange, Indiana

Summary: Responsible for performing routine maintenance procedures, troubleshoots all equipment maintenance problems, assists in other areas of facilities and grounds maintenance as directed. Assists with training and orientation of existing and new staff. Makes recommendations for process improvements, participates in lean initiatives. Participates in projects assigned to the department, performs all required preventative and corrective maintenance work orders, troubleshoots problems with facility equipment involving, electrical, mechanical, plumbing or HVAC failures. Maintains and services equipment and systems such as ice makers, pneumatic tube carriers, HVAC systems, doors/automatic openers and assists in the boiler plant operation. Maintains building finishes by performing drywall finishing, painting, staining and repair and application of wall coverings.

Education: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED. Two year certificate or degree from a vocational or technical institute, preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Valid state driver’s license is required.

Experience: Four years previous work experience in maintenance or a related field is required.
