About the Team: At the ZF Lafayette facility, the Plant Quality Manager is responsible for all aspects of quality which includes supplier quality, process control and improvement, and product quality. The Plant Quality Manager works closely with all facets of manufacturing, product engineering, sales, warrenty, and shipping to ensure customer satisfaction Safety and timely delivery are always kept to the highest standards. Communication throughout all levels of the plant, critical thinking, problem solving, and the right technical skills will be vital to success in this role. Ability to work with all levels of management and the customer to effectively facilitate meeting quality targets and objectives of the ZF Lafayette facility will be key to success.

What you can look forward to as a Plant Quality Manager:

  • Develop quality-process links with customers in line with the Quality Management System including IATF, PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, FMEA, CAPA and Supplier Quality Assurance processes and oversee continued compliance.

  • Manage, coach and develop quality operation team that meets agreed objectives, which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements

  • Serve as liaison with customers or other external parties on matters relating to the quality system

  • Coordinate warranty reduction programs for assembly based on customer historical database and analysis

Your Profile as a Plant Quality Manager:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Master’s Degree preferred)

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience with quality processes in automotive or similar setting with previous management experience required

  • IATF 16949 experience required

  • CQE qualification preferred

  • Familiarity with manufacturing machining and assembly required

  • Six Sigma Green Belt status preferred
