Job Description:

Role: Data Scientist - Mid Location:Indianapolis, IN (100% Remote) Type:Contract through EOY Scope The successful candidate will have a passion for building evaluation frameworks for answering business questions and discovering meaningful insights across various data states (e.g.observational data, model residuals, etc.), all while adopting team-wide best practices (e.g.clean code, reproducible/transferrable work, git, etc.) and maintaining effective levels of communication. Responsibilities

  • Join a collaborative team of data scientists with a focus on technical excellence, cross-team support, and high impact work.
  • Support the development and delivery of data science capabilities that support evolving product capabilities.
  • Deliver clear, reproducible analysis while building or improving the team score capabilities (such as reusable data pipelines, scripts, functions, documentation, etc.)along the way.
  • Contribute to stand-ups, technical discussions, internal and external presentations, and team road mapping sessions.

Skills / Experience:

  • Experience independently answering business and related analytics questions with interpretable and direct quantitative approaches.
  • Experience in using Python for analysis, including the use of common libraries (pandas, numpy, scipy, matplotlib, seaborn, etc.), creating and sharing jupyternotebooks, and building reusable functions and scripts.
  • Experience leveraging various statistical tools to test hypotheses or generate distributions based on observational data to quantify uncertainty and confidence.
  • Fluency in using SQL for common data access, transformations, and aggregations.
  • Ph.D. or M.S. in Data Science, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Operations Research, or related scientific discipline.
