We have an opportunity available for an Electrical Engineer to support the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) located in San Antonio, Texas. AFNWC provides, maintains, and sustains our war-winning capabilities to ensure operational readiness and effectiveness for assets around the world. This position will provide direct support to the Weapon Storage and Security System (WS3)

Position requires a TOP SECRET security clearance.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with establishing design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, and testing.

  • Provided engineering documentation, reporting, and drawings in support of design, development, production, and testing.

  • Identify complex engineering issues and recommend solutions to electrical components, systems, and products.

  • Analyze electronic circuits through simulation and/or analysis to recommend component substitutions or redesign solutions.

  • Provide support in maintaining and improving the design of existing electrical components, systems, and products that may include identifying, analyzing, and resolving obsolescence issues.

  • Gather, compile, and maintain technical data such as test results, engineering design changes, engineer drawings, and documentation for analysis and evaluation.

  • Provide input regarding test plans/procedures and reports, technical data packages (technical requirements, engineering drawings, models, and diagrams, and specifications/standards), and engineering related program documentation such as Systems Engineering Plan, Security Strategy, Configuration Management Plan, Lifecycle Sustainment Strategy, Test and Evaluation Master Plan.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field.

  • 5 years of experience designing, developing, building, analyzing, testing, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems.

  • Clearance: Active TOP SECRET security clearance required.
