Global Concepts Charter School is seeking a Math Intervention Specialist to work with Elementary School students who require strategic intervention in small group and individualized settings. The focus of the teacher is to develop a student centered system interventions that effectively work to close the achievement gap for students who need additional support in math.
Responsbilities include:
Providing individual and small group instruction designed to meet indivdual needs and motivate students.
Responding to data to meet needs of all students.
Developing lesson plans and uses instructional materials suitable for verbal and/or visual instruction of students with a wide range of intellectual, physical and emotional maturity.
Monitoring students progress towards individualized goals tlhrough regular assessment practices.
Establishing and maintaining standards of student behavior required to achieve effective participation and learning in all activities and lessons.
Collecting and assembling current research and best strategies for mathematics and make available to classroom teachers.
Collaborating with classroom teachers.
