Job Description

As a Project Construction Manager / Inspector, you will assume a crucial leadership role, applying a wealth of diversified knowledge in construction management principles and practices to a broad spectrum of assignments. Operating at an advanced level, you will independently make decisions on complex construction management issues, overseeing detailed tasks such as reviewing design specifications, coordinating construction activities, and ensuring project progress aligns with objectives. Your responsibilities will extend to preparing comprehensive project documents, adhering to project scope, schedule, and budget, and driving projects to successful completion through adept planning and coordination.

You will play a pivotal role in independently performing complex assignments that require the development of new and improved construction techniques and procedures. In addition, your collaborative efforts will span across various Olsson teams, where you will provide guidance and direction to team members on tasks ranging from constructability reviews to project completion. Working closely with project managers, you will report overall progress and proactively address potential problems, ensuring that project goals and objectives are met. Your expertise will be showcased in projects ranging from utility infrastructure and sewer lines to water distribution systems and roadway development. As a Project Construction Manager, you have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the success and excellence of diverse construction projects, making a lasting impact in the field of construction management.

You will travel to various job sites at different stages of construction and work in all types of terrain and weather conditions.

Qualifications

You bring to the team:

Required

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team.

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or other applicable field.

  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience in construction observation or construction inspection on projects including roadway development, utility infrastructure, sewer lines, or water distribution.

  • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

  • Valid drivers license with clean driving history.

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Preferred, but not required

  • OSHA 10 certified.

  • Any applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) certifications.
