Honeywell Sr Automation and Controls Field Service Technician in La Palma, California

Achieves successful on-site installation, servicing and repair processes of complex equipment and systems without direct supervision. You will follow detailed work instructions and amend any outdated or incorrect instructions with help of Engineering teams. You will make improvements to training guides and documentation. You will achieve continuous improvement initiatives in the field to quickly fix any administrative difficulties relating to delivery and installation of proper equipment. You will train the customer on proper usage, troubleshooting, and basic repair procedures for complex equipment. You will represent Honeywell at industry conferences and provide technical presentations. The salary for this position is ($58,000-87,000). The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. The main function of this position is to respond and resolve service calls providing technical support and troubleshooting to Honeywell customers. Additional responsibilities related to the technical delivery of small service jobs, time and material work, and preventive maintenance may be assigned as well. These customers will have various products installed that fall into the – HVAC, automation controls, life safety, fire, and security systems category as well as their associated computer systems. The goal is to ensure system up-time and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect for Quality

  • Install or Repair Work Orders

  • Provide Customer Support

  • Verify system functional performance to ensure proper operations according to contract requirements including testing, calibrating verify system and peripheral device operations as per preventative maintenance schedule

  • Can program 1 system independently

  • Ability to troubleshoot and fix common issues independently

  • Basic EBI knowledge

  • Complete required documentation for work performed or other contractual obligations

  • Proper use of safety personal protection equipment

  • Security and other clearances as required by customer

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Some field installation/service experience

  • Completed preventative maintenance on systems internally or externally

  • Ability to work independently 75% of the time

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to travel throughout the service area, with occasional overnight stays

  • Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to Honeywell
