Honeywell Application Engineer II - Building Control Systems in La Palma, California

Key Responsibilities

  • Design building control systems including DDC controller system by selecting the proper combination of hardware, software, equipment, materials and services from the Honeywell product & applications portfolio that will deliver the highest value to the customer while supporting overall Honeywell business objectives.

  • Possesses the ability to communicate technical concepts/solutions to internal and external customers; e.g. conducting site walks, accurately reviewing customer specs, and with the ability to identify opportunities, risks, and resources required to achieve results within the proposal cycle.

  • Review job contract plans, scope and specifications, survey information, sales sketches, estimates and take-off sheets for opportunities and proposals. Clearly define requirements prior to starting engineering.

  • Conducts in-depth site surveys to identify mechanical and control systems within the facility and uses the information to develop and design a comprehensive technical offering that may utilizes Honeywell’s systems/services portfolio and which results in guaranteed long term operating efficiency and costs and savings to the customer.

  • Works with the sales and operations teams to develop accurate cost estimates, and savings and labor requirements.

  • Works with subcontractors and consultants to ensure the quality of work is consistent with the requirements of the job.

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related technical field or 3 years of field experience in DDC/controls

  • Basic understanding of HVAC and/or mechanical control systems.

  • Experience with AutoCAD or equivalent tool.

WE VALUE

  • Development of user interface graphics for computer front end systems.

  • Programming skills

  • Estimating and sales support experience.

  • Experience in cybersecurity and online services

  • Knowledge of PCs, software, networks, Internet related technologies.
