Sevita Certified Nursing Assistant in La Mesa, California

NeuroRestorative, a member of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.

Our NeuroRestorative facility located in La Mesa, CA, is a fully licensed JCAHO accredited Congregate Living Healthcare (CLHF) facility that specializes in brain, spinal cord and other life-altering injuries and medically-complex illnesses. We offer in-patient treatment in a residential home-like setting to individuals of all ages, which includes neurorehabilitation, respite, post-acute, and sub-acute care. We offer a variety of services including amputee care, complex wound care, G- and J- tube feedings, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, multiple IV Antibiotic therapy, pulmonary care, social & recreational activities, and more.

Certified Nursing Assistant

  • La Mesa, CA

  • NeuroRestorative facility located on Aztec Drive

  • 15 bed facility staffed with 1 RN, 1 LVN, 3 CNA's Q shift

  • In-patient residential setting sub-acute rehab

  • Part-time and per-diem available currently

  • Days (7am-7pm)

  • Dayshift rates: $18-$21.50 base rate based on experience + OT past 8th hour = effective pay rate of $21-$25.08

  • NOC (7pm-7am)

  • NOC shift rates: $18-$21.50 base rate based on experience + $2 NOC shift diff = $20-$23.50 + OT past 8th hour = effective pay rate of $$23.33-$27.42

  • 12-hour shifts w/overtime after 8th hour (4 hrs @ time and ½ per 12 hr shift)

  • Ability/option to move into fulltime positions if/when available

  • Ability to transfer to other NeuroRestorative and/or Sevita facilities

  • Low patient ratios

We are currently seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant who is kind, hardworking and dedicated to helping us provide compassionate, gentle care to our residents. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in an inpatient or long-term care facility and is capable of providing Activities of Daily Living such as helping patients with bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and recreational activities, as well as documenting care and taking vital signs. The successful candidate for this position enjoys working with individuals with special needs and having the opportunity to make a true difference in their lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic bedside care such as assisting the patient in moving to and from bed and ensuring that the patient's condition is monitored properly with consistent assessments

  • Assist patients with dressing or bathing as directed by the supervising nurse.

  • Observe patients and report changes to the nurse

  • Provide basic support to convalescing patients

  • Assist with mobility exercises and range of motion activities

Qualifications:

*Completion of CNA certification program; Current California CNA certification

*One year CNA experience preferred, ideally experience with medically complex patients

*Current in CPR for Healthcare Provider

*Ability to effectively communicate with staff, residents, and families

*A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach
