Job Purpose:
INTERNSHIP FOR SUMMER 2024
Provide a student pursuing an undergraduate degree or in a graduate program with practical work experience to supplement an academic field of study. Position would normally be a temporary assignment to be utilized during student’s vacation period. Work involves a substantial variety of administrative and technical duties with instruction from supervisor.

Education / Training:
• Completed second or third year of studies toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Business.
• Minimum cumulative GPA 2.8/4.0

Summer Intern – Locomotive product
Progress Rail is looking for a motivated individual studying engineering or business. You can focus on building technical and business abilities in roles including (but not limited to):
• Locomotive product cost: Helping drive product cost initiatives by working with supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing.
• Business reporting: Create efficient reporting methods for monthly business updates.
• Locomotive design: Exposure to the overall locomotive design process.
This position is on 5-day work week, with 3 days in the office for optimal collaboration.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Proficient in MS office (such as Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
• Work well under direction and be a motivated self-starter with strong communication skills.
• Passion for technology and an eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environment.
• Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies.
