JOB DESCRIPTION :

To perform all kinds of welding and cutting using gas and electric welding equipment. 1st shift, 2nd shift, and weekend shift available with primary need for 2nd and weekend.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Meets all essential functions and qualifications.

  2. Performs in and out of position welding.

  3. Performs hand fabricating.

  4. Participate in weld lab classroom training for Trane, ASME and/or PED certifications as needed.

  5. Work involves considerable stooping, bending, and working on overhead assembles and on man lifts/platforms/risers/ladders.

  6. Will be required to lift up to 35 pounds.

  7. Receives work instructions from a member of management or a team lead.

  8. Must be able to follow standard work, complete production and maintenance records and other documentation related to operations.

  9. Must participate in basic problem solving, 5-S, and lean activities.

  10. Must demonstrate the ability to perform the above duties with no additional training required.

  11. Meet and maintain all safety requirements.

  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Completion of formal welding program or equivalent on the job experience

  2. Demonstrated reliability

  3. Weld Process: Be able to qualify in 2F, 2G, 3F, 3G, and/or 4F position

  4. Ability to read engineering prints and weld symbols, as well as using basic measuring tools such as tape measures and levels

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  1. Experience welding in an industrial setting with ASME welding standard requirements

  2. Experience in fitment of complex and heavy parts prior to welding

  3. Prioritized experience in the following weld capabilities:

a. Pulsed MIG Welding

b. MIG welding

c. Stick welding

d. TIG welding

  1. Welders with ability to join Steel to steel, steel to stainless, aluminum, and other materials

Pay and Benefits:

Starting pay $27.42

Second Shift and Weekend Adders

Vacation – Upon completion of probationary period.

PTO/Sick Leave – After 6 months.

401K Match

Medical after probationary period
