What You\'ll Do: The Referral Laboratory department handles all specimens that must be sent to another institution for testing. This includes completing any referral laboratory-specific test request forms, processing of the sample according to the instructions of the testing facility, packaging for transport, and uploading of results to the patient lab results. Additionally, this area insures that the referral laboratory being used is credentialed by CLIA, CMS, and/or CAP as a measure of the quality of testing performed. You will analyze information, monitor quality performance, and take action to ensure the efficient delivery of accurate and timely laboratory test results and services. This position will also be responsible for the development and implementation of laboratory procedures, as well as the maintenance of quality control in the laboratory understanding the requirements and standards of regulating agencies to ensure compliance within the laboratory.
