GUNDERSEN HEALTH SYSTEM MD DO Family Medicine Core Faculty in LA CROSSE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Be part of a thriving program dedicated to teaching the next generation of family medicine physicians. Gundersen Health System is seeking a Family Medicine Core Faculty member who has a strong interest in teaching. We are looking to fill this position in the summer of 2024. Practice includes: * Precept on average four to five half days per week in the Family Medicine Residency Clinic (FMRC). * See patients in the clinic two to three half days per week. * One half day per week of administration time for academic reasons. * One half day per week of wellness time. * Participate in mentoring and didactic activities in the FMRC. * Participate in educational activities such as simulation, procedural workshops and other educational activities as deemed necessary. * Participate in academic interests such as research as deemed necessary by the Program Director. * Participate in regular faculty meetings on a weekly basis in the FMRC. * Participate in the CCC (Clinical Competency Committee - evaluating our residents) and PEC (Program Evaluation Committee - evaluating our program) meetings for the residency. * Minimal call (on call for phone triage approximately six weeks per year). * Preference for inpatient newborn care and postpartum care for patients (five to six weeks per year); no labor and delivery. * Prior teaching experience and faculty development training preferred. Must have completed an accredited graduate medical training program and be board certified or eligible within the area of medicine stated.In addition, must have or be able to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations.Medical staff in our system will supervise advanced practice clinicians.Medical staff may need to provide outreach service as part of their role in the system.Teaching students, residents, fellows or clinical staff is cornerstone to our Medical Education philosophy and an expectation of all medical staff.
